I admire those people who have always known what they want to do and stood by it. I was one of those people who knew in a way what I wanted, but was not real confident if it was the job for me. I have always loved school and the learning process. I would play school with my sisters and I was the teacher. What I have really always liked to do is help people in any way that I could. I always thought to improve life and society I had to be in the health care profession. By using scaffolding I will ask questions and give cues to help the children make the connection between new and old information. With group work, they will be exposed to different teaching techniques from group members and myself. While using progressivism, I can allow my students to explore through experience and interest. It will be up to the students which project we do in class and when we do it, but it will be material that is required to be covered. If there are no set rules then how is a classroom to operate to its full potential? If no one understands that learning is the main objective, failure will result.
