Blueprints of My Classroom and Management Some people know what they want to do all their lives, others work an entire life before they realize what it is they enjoy doing and some know what they would enjoy doing, but are too stubborn to admit it. I admire those people who have always known what they want to do and stood by it. I was one of those people who knew in a way what I wanted, but was not real confident if it was the job for me. I have always loved school and the learning process. I would play school with my sisters and I was the teacher. What I have really always liked to do is help people in any way that I could. I always thought to improve life and society I had to be in the health care profession. Now, I know†¦show more content†¦I believe that every child learns differently and therefore must be taught in a different way. By using scaffolding I will ask questions and give cues to help the children make the connection between new and old information. With group work, they will be exposed to different teaching techniques from group members and myself. When a child is exposed to different material, they are more likely to achieve the equilibrium process of assimilation and accommodation. While using progressivism, I can allow my students to explore through experience and interest. It will be up to the students which project we do in class and when we do it, but it will be material that is required to be covered. From my experience if students get to pick what they learn, they feel more apart of the classroom. I also feel that behaviorism is an important philosophy to have in the learning environment. If there are no set rules then how is a classroom to operate to its full potential? If no one understands that learning is the main objective, failure will result. Children need to learn how to follow rules in school because once they graduate they will be expected to follow laws. Rewards and punishments are important because life is not fair and students need to understand this so they are not disappointed later in life. Rewards and punishments also reinforce students to achieve higher goals and accomplishments.
